ENTRY- NOVEMBER 9,2023
It was our 4th meeting, and it felt like the second longest time we've ever spent together in a Mamak. I couldn't contain my excitement waiting for him, but there was a bittersweet feeling as I knew he traveled quite a distance just to be with me. Despite his tiredness, he managed to light up my day.
Our conversation wasn't about anything special, just the
usual chatter about random things. Yet, it felt like we were creating something
extraordinary. He has this incredible knack for understanding me, and his
patience in listening makes my heart flutter. Is that sweet enough for a girl?
I love that he can make an ordinary moment feel like a cherished memory.
After our dinner, he drove me back to my hostel. The car
ride was silent, but in that quietness, I felt a sense of loneliness I had
never experienced before. I wanted to tell him what was on my mind, but I
couldn't bring myself to do it as his dad was waiting for him at home.
"You have to go, is it?" I reluctantly said as I got out of the car.
It was the first time I found myself in such a situation.
Back in my room, I started doing my usual tasks, but
my mind was still with him. Then, out of the blue, my friend called, asking if I
was in the hostel. Without much thought, I answered yes. Her next words shook
me to the core -"he had met with an accident". My heart raced, and tears flowed
freely for the first time. She gave me only bits of information and hung up,
leaving me in a state of panic.
I tried reaching out to him with texts and calls, but there
was no response. Alone in my room, I couldn't focus on anything else. I called
my brother to find out what happened, and thankfully, he assured me that he was
okay. Shortly after, he texted me, saying he was okay and asking me to relax. I
couldn't help but worry, and when he finally called me after reaching home, I
ran to answer his call. He talked to me as if nothing had happened, but I
couldn't shake off the feeling of sadness.
